Master class "Direction. Tell me the story"

The workshop on making video presentations of a business project by Svetlana Bazhenova.

You have only three minutes to give the main idea of the project in a video. How can you construct the plot properly? What are the ways to draw viewers’ attention? Why is dramatic composition essential? A real professional in the sphere of media is ready to share the secrets of direction with the participants of the workshop.

During the workshop you will get first-hand experience in how to create and build a short story of a project, think through the structure of a video and , as a result, you will make your video.

  • Step 1: Self presentation. Analyzing the aims and goals of presentations. Specific character of broadcasting time (air time). Ways of working with a material.
  • Step 2: Dramatic composition. Tell me the story. Watching and analyzing video cases.
  • Step 3: Planning a video project (using Harvard methods).
  • Step 4: Practical part. Team work. Working with available resources. Using photo cameras for making video. Interview specificity. Formats and genres.
  • Step 5: “Believe in your dreams” Creative thinking.
